First Impressions Journal
My first impression about The Hunchback of Notre Dame was that there were a lot of pages about 483 pages and there is word that is hard to pronoun like Burgundians. So the story opens up on January 6, 1482. It took place in the city of Paris during the Festivals of Fools and the celebration of Epiphany.
There was three event happening there was to be a bonfire on the Place de Grève, a maypole at the Chapelle de Braque, and a mystery play at the Palais de Justice. Everyone was so excited about the Festival. So the crowd of citizens, male and female, having closed their houses and shops, came from every direction, at early morn, towards someone of the three spots designated.
The greater event was the bonfire, which was quite of season and toward the mystery play which was presented in the grand hall of Palais de Justice which means (the courts of law), The least favourite event was the Maypole at the Chapel de Braque which was a cemetery. The most attraction was the mystery place which is followed by an election for Pope of Fool. Palais de Justice was packed with a lot of people.
To make them busy they made fun of each other for what they were wearing. The entire Palais was full of laughter. When the clock strike at 12 the show did not begun and the citizen got angry and bored.
Then one of the actors named Michel Gibourne ho play Jupiter in the mystery play. He said the show will start shortly soon the Carnival arrive. In the book I read about 20 pages and in those 20 pages a lot of things was happen like the bonfire and things that will happen like the mystery play.
