ANALYSIS OF SETTING

The novel the hunchback of Notre dame is mainly taken place during the 15th century in Paris; France. The main area of activity is around the cathedral Notre dame. This is also one of Paris’ notable landmarks. To which is if you look from the top you can see all of Paris. However to this the cathedral has a dark side to it called Place de Greve which is where the criminals are sent to be hung. This is also where the main tragic events take place. There is also the court of miracles which is where the gypsies and beggars live and form their own mini government.
