first Impression Journal

First Impression Journal

My first impression of the book was that it was immensely long because of the sheer number of pages which was 483. But not just that it was some of the vocabulary which was hard at first to pronounce. But also the beginning was a little bit boring.

In the beginning of this classic book of literature the date is January 6th, 1482 in the city of Paris. This in this case is the start of the yearly celebration of the festival of fools and the epiphany. Which focuses on three main events: First are the fireworks in the Place De Greve. Second the event is the painting of the May tree at the Chapel of Braque. And the Final main event is the Mystery Play performed at the Palace of Justice. In which the citizens enjoy the most.

The best event was the mystery play which was presented in the Grand Hall of Palais De Justice (Which Means The Court of Laws). But the least favourite event was the one at the Maypole at the Chapel De Braque(which was at a cemetery). Following the Mystery Play was an election for the Pope of Fool.

Then when the clock had stuck 12 and the play had not begun the citizens got angry. But then one of the actors Michel Gibourne who plays Jupiter in the play said that the show will start shortly as soon as the Carnival Arrives. In this book I have read the first chapter and a little bit more. Which is when the play will most likely be in.
